Purrhaps the cutest kitten in the world was found lost and wearing a strawberry-patterned dress in Massachusetts — and local animal control are asking for the public’s help in reuniting the pet with her family.
The cat, a black and white long-hair with wide eyes and a heart-shaped nose, was found by a good Samaritan in a driveway near a school north of Boston in Everett on Monday.
Hearts melted at Everett Animal Control and beyond when the cat was taken in wearing the outfit she was found in — a white pleated dress with strawberries patterned across it, complete with a red bow to match.
“This kitten is extremely affectionate and a family must be missing her,” Everett Animal Control said in a Facebook post.
“She loves to lay in the [animal control officer’s] lap and grab her hand with her paw until she gets some cuddles.”
Until her real home is found, officers have been calling the kitten Strawberry, in line with the name bestowed by her finder.
Unsurprisingly, Strawberry was a hit in the comments section.
“She is stunning. I love her dress,” said one commenter.
“Omg someone has to be missing her,” said another.
“I pray your people find you, Strawberry.”
“If nobody claims her, I will take her,” said another, speaking on the world’s behalf.
Anybody with information about Strawberry’s home is asked to contact Everett Police at 617-387-1212, or by email at [email protected].
