Resident Alien is wrapping its third season — which kicked off on February 14 — tonight on SYFY, but we can’t help wondering what’s in store for the show. Will there be a fourth season?
Inspired by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse’s comic books of the same name, the series stars Alan Tudyk as a “crash-landed alien” named Harry, whose “secret mission is to kill all humans,” per SYFY’s synopsis.
As fans very well know, this season involves Harry “vowing to work with General McCallister (Linda Hamilton) to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens – a task made more difficult when he discovers that the Grey Hybrid Joseph (Enver Gjokaj) has taken a job in town as the new Deputy.”
The cast also features Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds, Elizabeth Bowen, Meredith Garretson, and Levi Fiehler.
While speaking with journalist Alexandria Ingham, showrunner Chris Sheridan broke down some of the themes of Season 3.
“Everyone is sort of looking inward a little bit this season, and recognizing that they’re changing and trying to figure out who they are now and what they need to do to be the best person they can be,” he shared.
Here’s what we know about tonight’s Season 3 finale and whether or not there will be a Resident Alien Season 4.
Will there be a Resident Alien Season 4?
Unfortunately, Season 4 of Resident Alien has not been officially confirmed. However, with Season 3 concluding tonight, a definitive answer regarding the fate of Resident Alien may be coming soon.
Sheridan and the cast recently appeared at WonderCon, where he shared what he would “like to explore and make a little more clear in Season 4”: the notion that “we’re kind of not safe anywhere,” per The Direct. Meanwhile, Tomko noted that they “are manifesting a Season 4.”
