Joe Rogan has made a rare reference to wife Jessica Ditzel and their three daughters in the latest episode of his podcast.
The UFC commentator is known for sharing his opinions, whether it’s his thoughts on Joe Biden’s cabinet or New York City’s squatters’ policy. Nevertheless, Rogan usually keeps quiet about his personal life. However, the 56-year-old shared a family anecdote during Tuesday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
While discussing the death penalty with journalist David Holthouse, Rogan said that one of his daughters is “very much against the death penalty.”
The podcaster shares two teenage daughters with Ditzel—Lola and Rosy. He also adopted Ditzel’s daughter, Kayja Rose—whose father is reportedly the late singer Keven “Dino” Conner—in 2009.
“We’ve had conversations about people that are unjustly accused, and she knows that I’ve had many people on my podcast that spent a long time in jail for crimes that they didn’t commit and that some of them were on death row,” Rogan said.
“They could have been executed. I said in a perfect scenario, when you absolutely know that the law has got the right person, that this person has done something that they have killed people, yeah, maybe the death penalty makes sense.”
However, Rogan said his family all agreed that, when it comes to child molesters, the law should “kill them all.”
“Especially my wife,” Rogan added. “Mothers, you know, they hear that and it’s just like ‘that’s the one, you have to kill them.’”
“They never f****** stop,” Holthouse replied.
“They don’t,” Rogan agreed. “It’s a weird sickness. It’s just so strange that it’s not a very very rare uncommon thing, you know, that exists in like a handful of places in the world occasionally.”
Who Is Joe Rogan’s Wife Jessica Ditzel?
Despite being vocally opposed to marriage for several years, Rogan tied the knot with Ditzel in 2009.
Explaining his decision to wed the former model, Rogan told Florida daily newspaper The Palm Beach Post: “I had to. Not really had to, but you know, she made a baby.
“[It’s] like, ‘God, all right, I’ll sign a silly legal contract.’ What she did was way more of a commitment.”
Although Rogan described the institution as “dumb, f****** dumb” to Rolling Stone magazine in 2015, he also confessed to being happily married.
“She lets me do whatever I do,” he said. “That’s how we get along well. She doesn’t f*** with me. A prenup? Of course. I’m ridiculous and dumb, but I’m not stupid.”
Although Rogan is one of the most-listened to podcasters on Spotify, Ditzel tends to avoid the spotlight, keeping her Instagram account private and rarely attending events with her famous husband.
