Naomi Biden said “I do” to Peter Neal on the South Lawn of the White House on Saturday – marking the first wedding for a presidential family member held on the grounds since the Clinton era.

The eldest grandchild of President Joe Biden and her beau both wore Ralph Lauren for the occasion, with Naomi in a lacy, long-sleeved ivory gown and Neal in a navy three-piece suit.

“It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow, discover who she is, and carve out such an incredible life for herself,” the politician and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, said in a statement, per The New York Times.

“Now, we are filled with pride to see her choose Peter as her husband and we’re honored to welcome him to our family. We wish them days full of laughter and a love that grows deeper with every passing year.”

Naomi, 28, and Neal, 25, both work as lawyers in Washington, D.C., and live on the third floor of the White House residence, according to NYT. Their nuptials, which took place one day before President Biden’s 80th birthday, were also attended by Naomi’s parents, Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle.

The outdoor ceremony was followed by a luncheon for close family and friends, before celebrations continued at an evening reception held at the executive mansion.

The newlyweds first announced their engagement in September 2021.

“Forever 🤍,” Naomi captioned a pic of the couple announcing the big news at the time.

Neal, who reportedly interned for both Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama, shared the same snap, in which the Columbia Law graduate flashed her diamond ring.

The couple later shared the exciting news that they selected their venue earlier this year.

“We have finally figured out where the ceremony will be…and much to the relief of secret service and with the dogs’ endorsement…we’ll be getting married on the South Lawn,” Naomi tweeted in July.

“Peter and I are endlessly grateful to my Nana and Pop for the opportunity to celebrate our wedding at the White House,” she added. “We can’t wait to make our commitment to one another official and for what lies ahead.”

The couple were set up on a date in New York by a mutual friend in 2018, according to the White House.

Naomi is the eldest of President Biden’s seven grandchildren, followed by sisters Finnegan, 22, and Maisy, 21, whom Hunter shares with ex-wife Kathleen.

Hunter also has a child with an Arkansas woman named Lunden Alexis Roberts, who was born in 2018, along with a 2-year-old son with wife Melissa Cohen.

The President’s late son, Beau, also had two children, Natalie and Robert, with wife Hallie.
