A couple of newlyweds have melted hearts online after sharing a reel of their wedding pictures featuring their cat, Kingston.

The reel shared on TikTok on Monday by the cat’s owner, under the username Chel_miranda, shows the couple posing with their Persian chinchilla, to have a cute family picture in their wedding album.

It comes with a caption that says: “We posed for wedding photos with our cat and here’s how it went.”

According to Brides magazine, having your pet pose for your wedding pictures is just “too cute for words,” and it is just one of the many ways you can incorporate your pet into your big day.

Among the magazine’s suggestions, you could get your pet to walk down the aisle or dress them in a festive attire like a tux, maybe one that matches the groom’s as well!

Another way is to have them hold your rings or even have their illustration on your wedding invitation, and why not add a cake topper showing their likeness too?

A recent WeddingWire survey of 800 pet owners found that 38 percent of couples owned a pet included it in their wedding and/or engagement. Sometimes the pet was present at the event, and in other cases, it was incorporated into the event’s design.

The clip has attracted animal lovers from across the platform, receiving over 462,400 views and 39,900 likes over the last two days.

One user, Lisa L LaPointe commented: “That cat said it’s not ‘your’ day it’s ‘OUR’ day.” And Bel95 said: “I love this! I’ve never seen a cat in wedding photos, only dogs. If I ever get married my cats are 100 percent getting in a photo!”

Montse Villalonga wrote: “My dream.” And diabolicaldaughter said: “That’s what I call a beautiful family, so adorable.” Lyndi29 added: “As it should be guys. You looked awesome—all of you.”

Another user, elianamariel35 joked: “the cat: ‘thank you soo much mom and dad for being at my party. ” And Eva Ziskov said: “Love this idea!!! have you told your husband yet that the couch is his because the cat is in your bed?”

And Lexi wrote: “My cat Taco would rip out my jugular vein if I took him out of the house. this is adorable.”

Newsweek reached out to Chel_mirandafor comment.
