A dog has gone viral for jumping back and forth between his two hotel beds on his first ever night out with his owner, leaving the internet in stitches.
In a video shared on TikTok last Saturday by the dog’s owner, known on the platform as Christie Webber, the dog can be seen struggling to contain his excitement, jumping from one bed to another.
The spaniel, Gus, is popular on his owner’s page, which has got over 3,657 followers, and he shares with his 12 weeks old human sibling.
For many American families, pets are like children and as a survey from StudyFinds shows, about 34 percent of American parents said their pet is their favorite “child.”
According to Petkeen, in 2022, 70 percent of U.S. households reported owning at least one pet, which equates to 90.5 million homes across the country. Out of those 90.5 million, 69 million own at least one dog, making dogs the most popular pet choice.
Each year, 3.3 million dogs enter shelters across the country, and only 48 percent of them are adopted. The good news is that 620,000 dogs taken into shelters each year as strays are reunited with their owners.
The video, which has so far received over 314,300 likes, 905 comments, and 10,300 re-shares came with a caption that read: “Our dog spending his first night in a hotel room.”
One user commented: “Now you need 2 beds at home for jumpies.” And another said: “Just like any responsible adult does when they first get into any hotel room.”

A fourth said: “Someone’s happy doing the bed test for mum n dad, typical spaniel I had two of them for 12 yrs n always made me laugh daily.”
