Elizabeth Olsen and Robbie Arnett revealed they said “I do” before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Finally giving some insight into their secret marriage, the Marvel actress admitted in an interview for SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show” that she and Arnett “eloped and then had another wedding at another time.”
“It was before COVID, I just never talked about it,” she explained, as Arnett sat close to her.
Giving some more context, the 33-year-old actress explained that she had been filming in England and “there were visa issues with that.”
“So, we, luckily, timed things out accidentally very well,” she said, adding that her now-husband wouldn’t have even been able to come to her since many countries had started to close their borders during the height of the pandemic.
“Everything was so backed up then,” Olsen further explained. “You couldn’t even, like, try to get married then. But it ended up working out.”
Over a year ago, the “WandaVision” star slipped and called the Milo Green musician her husband in an interview with Kaley Cuoco.
Talking about how she had to lock herself in the bathroom due to outside construction, she said, “I’ve been in the UK for seven months, and I got back two days ago, and my neighbor is doing so much construction to their backyard.
She added, “I also just noticed that my husband put ‘Little Miss Magic’ [in here] – you know, the ‘Little Miss’ books? They’re these classic books, but magic because of ‘WandaVision,’ because he’s such a f–king cutie.”
Despite keeping their relationship tightly under wraps, Olsen and Arnett got engaged in July 2019 after two and a half years of dating.
The younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen was previously engaged to actor Boyd Holbrook but broke it off in January 2015.
