Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s over-the-top engagement is continuing to intrigue and disgust fans.
Now, the musician’s revelation that the engagement ring he designed for his fiancée is designed to hurt her if she takes it off has sparked a huge wave of jokes and memes on social media.
The dazzling two-stone engagement ring, custom made by Stephen Webster, is set on two magnetic bands of thorns and will hurt when Fox removes it because “love is pain.”
“It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment,” said Machine Gun Kelly—real name Colson Baker—in an interview with Vogue this week.
“It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine. And the diamond was directly from Stephen.
“The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So, you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…” the 31-year old said.
“Love is pain!” the “Rap Devil” hitmaker said in the joint interview with his 35-year-old fiancée.
Unsurprisingly, this revelation has led to much derision from social media users as the pair’s dramatic romance continues to surprise and entertain.

From the thorned engagement ring to drinking each other’s blood. Following the couple’s engagement announcement last week, Fox revealed that they celebrated by drinking each other’s blood in a move that also caused a stir online.
