President Trump discussed his famous cameo in the Christmas classic Home Alone 2: Lost in New York during a conversation with some troops deployed overseas.
The commander in chief did a video conference with several groups of troops deployed overseas on Tuesday night to wish them all an “amazing Christmas” despite being away from family and friends while serving the United States.
During the conversation, one man asked if Home Alone 2 was the president’s favorite Christmas film. Trump laughed, saying, “Well, I’m in Home Alone 2.”
Trump said that “a lot of people mention” that he was in that film during the holidays and that many children recognize him more from that movie than from his role in the White House.
“Especially young kids. They say, ‘I just saw you on the movie.’ They don’t see me on television as much as they do on the movie. But it’s been a good movie, and I was a little bit younger, to put it mildly. And it was an honor to do it,” Trump said.
He added, “It turned out to be a very big hit, obviously. It’s a big Christmas hit. One of the biggest. So, it’s an honor to be involved in something like that. You always like to see success.”

Trump played himself in the film and is depicted giving directions to a lost Macaulay Culkin as he zips his way through the Plaza Hotel in New York City. As the president noted, the film was a success, bringing in $173.6 million in its all-time domestic box office total.
