The FBI released new details about Nancy Guthrie’s abductor on Thursday, and increased their reward for information leading to Guthrie’s location.
The FBI said Guthrie’s abductor is likely between 5’9″ and 5’10” tall with an “average” build. In the FBI’s recent video of the individual, they were seen wearing a black 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack.
The FBI also increased its reward from $50,000 to $100,000 for information leading to Guthrie’s return.
“We hope this updated description will help concentrate the public tips we are receiving,” the FBI wrote on Instagram. “Since February 1, 2026, the FBI has collected over 13,000 tips from the public related to this case.”
Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home about two weeks ago after returning home from having dinner with friends and family. Investigators have not released much information about any potential abductors other than descriptions of the clothes the person was wearing.
Yesterday, investigators located a black glove that may be related to the crime.
