‘We were alarmed’: TV anchor reveals details of 2nd note in abduction of Nancy Guthrie

TMZ founder Harvey Levin revealed Tuesday night that there has been new “activity” in a Bitcoin account tied to the kidnapping of the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie.

Appearing on CNN, Levin told anchor Erin Burnett on her show “OutFront” that investigators monitoring the Bitcoin address referenced in an extortion letter had, for the first time, detected movement.

“About 12 minutes ago, we saw activity in that account,” Levin said.

When asked to elaborate on the “activity,” Levin said he couldn’t divulge due to multiple reasons.

“All I can say is there is now activity in that Bitcoin account,” he said, adding, “It would only show, as I understand this, money going in. And the only thing you would see is money.”

Levin emphasized that the account being tracked was linked to the original letter and not a separate address.

Burnett called Harvey’s revelation, the latest breakthrough in the case, “the most significant news of the day.”

Nancy Guthrie was abducted Feb. 1. The Bitcoin revelation comes as investigators released images and video of the man who kidnapped her.
