In the video, a hook ladder was extended to the second story of the house, with several firefighters positioned on the aerial ladder protruding from the fire truck. Despite the fall, fire officials said the firefighter escaped with only minor injuries and is expected to fully recover, ABC7 Eyewitness News reported.

The fire erupted on the second floor of a residence on South Wilton Place just after 5 p.m. Saturday, prompting an emergency response from LAFD crews, ABC7 reported.

The five-bedroom, two-bath dwelling where the fire occurred is valued around $2.3 million.

The property may have also operated as a Korean church, according to signage in the front yard. The sign identifies the building as the Southern California Somang Church, a Presbyterian congregation led by Pastor Tae-jung Ji.

Firefighters knocked down the flames in roughly 20 minutes, and no neighboring homes were damaged in the incident, according ABC7.
