GOP lawmaker pinpoints new DOJ plot to ‘protect Epstein perpetrators’: ‘Against the law’

A Republican congressman sounded the alarm on Saturday about a newly revealed plot by the DOJ to, as he put it, “protect perpetrators” connected to Jeffrey Epstein.

The DOJ recently released more files related to the deceased child sex abuser, but some eagle-eyed observers have pointed out what appears to be unnecessary censoring of individuals who appear to be talking about unlawful conduct against minors.

A popular X user pointed out that this was likely part of an instruction from the FBI to “redact” the names of “celebrities” and “U.S. presidents.”

“In March 2025, the FBI discusses internally the ‘clear and specific guidance’ to redact images of ‘former U.S. Presidents, Secretary of State, and other celebrities,’” the user wrote, catching the attention of the GOP’s Thomas Massie.

Massie shared that post and added, “From March 2025: ‘Who is protected under this transparency task?’ ‘presidents’ ‘sec. of state’ ‘celebrities.’”

He then added, “Nothing would have been released if Rep Ro Khanna and I hadn’t forced this.”

“And even now, against the law, they’re withholding information to protect perpetrators,” the Republican concluded.
