Career criminal creep busted for allegedly raping 14-year-old in private NYC apartment community

A creep with a lengthy rap sheet was arrested Tuesday for raping a 14-year-old girlin a Stuyvesant Town apartment building last week, according to authorities.

Germaine Parham, 33, was cuffed in upstate New York by members of the NYPD assigned to the US Marshals New York and New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force for the disturbing assault that unfolded in Manhattan’s StuyTown village on the morning of Jan. 29, according to the NYPD and sources.

Parham allegedly approached the teenage girl around 11:45 a.m. at the building located at First Avenue and First Avenue Loop in the private residential complex in the East Village and sexually assaulted her, police said.

He then swiped her cellphone and fled the scene. The 14-year-old girl was taken to the hospital for treatment, police added

Parham has a long criminal history with over two dozen prior arrests as well as an outstanding bench warrant, according to sources.

He was most recently nabbed on Jan. 8 for stealing roughly $1,835 worth of merchandise from a CVS in Midtown Manhattan. The case resulted in a bench warrant after he failed to return to court, sources said.

He has multiple other arrests stemming from drugstore robberies across the Big Apple.

The alleged rapist was sentenced in November 2025 to 30 days in jail for a knifepoint robbery at a CVS pharmacy in the Bronx, sources added.

Parham now faces a new laundry list of charges, including five counts of rape, robbery, attempted assault, predatory sexual assault, kidnapping, criminal possession of a weapon, and six counts of sexual abuse, authorities said.

The StuyTown apartment complex where the terrifying attack occurred boasts its own public safety office staffed 24/7 with multiple officers and “world-class amenities” including multiple fitness centers, 15 playgrounds, and an ice rink — with rents for 1-bedroom apartments starting at a whopping $4,873, according to its website.

The ritzy village administration sent out an update to residents after Parham’s arrest, vowing to increase public safety patrols and building checks after the “awful incident.”

“We just learned from the NYPD that they caught the suspect. We are grateful to the NYPD for their dedication and our ongoing partnership with the Department,” StuyTown wrote in a memo obtained by The Post.

“While this is a positive update, our community is still hurting, and we are angry over this awful incident. As parents and residents of StuyTown ourselves, many of whom raise children here and attend our local schools, this has deeply impacted all of us. We are heartbroken and share many of the emotions you are feeling,” the statement said.

The update promised “constant” public safety patrols of the complex and the installation of call buttons to the community’s public safety office at every building entrance.
