All-Star Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne Takes the Grammys Stage With Performance of Classic Black Sabbath Hit

Several artists with personal and creative ties to Ozzy Osbourne took the stage at the 2026 Grammys to pay tribute to the late Prince of Darkness. Osbourne died in July 2025, and since then, there have been numerous tributes from a wide array of artists. This performance includes Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash and Duff McKagan, and collaborator and producer Andrew Watt.

Slash, Andrew Watt, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith appeared on stage first, joined quickly by Post Malone. The group opened with a fiery, rousing rendition of “War Pigs”. On the screens behind them, many other late legends were honored as well, such as Ace Frehley and Clem Burke. Watt and Slash engaged in a bit of dueling guitars while fireballs exploded around them.

The Osbourne family was in attendance, and Sharon, Jack, and Kelly were openly emotional during the performance. The group ended their tribute with by throwing their instruments in a rowdy display of pure rock and roll.

The star-studded tribute to Ozzy Osbourne features artists who worked with him on his final two albums, Ordinary Man in 2020 and Patient Number 9 in 2022.

On Ordinary Man, Post Malone provided vocals and composition on the tracks “It’s a Raid” and “Take What You Want.” Duff McKagan played bass on all but two tracks, while Slash played guitar on “Straight to Hell” and “Ordinary Man.”

Chad Smith, meanwhile, provided drums for the entire album. Andrew Watt had a hand in several aspects of the album, from vocals to string arrangements to album art. On the album Patient Number 9, Watt, Smith, and McKagan returned to lend Osbourne their talents.

Post Malone and Andrew Watt previously performed alongside Ozzy Osbourne at the 2019 American Music Awards. For them to be included in this tribute makes perfect sense, as do the others. Together they showcased Osbourne’s top hits as both a solo artist and as Black Sabbath frontman.
