‘Little Rascals’ star living off-the-grid in poverty as ‘Catholic extremist’ after arrest over huffing air duster cans

Years after his huffing arrest, “Little Rascals” star Bug Hall has traded in Hollywood for a quiet homesteading lifestyle.

The former child star, who identifies as “a radical Catholic extremist,” has moved his wife and five daughters to a small area near Mountain Home, Ark., reports the Daily Mail.

Hall, 40, told the outlet that he already gave up the money he made as a child actor and has taken “a vow of poverty.”

In accordance with his religious commitment, he donated all of his savings along with the majority of his material items, and plans to “maintain a life as free of any need for an income as possible.”

“If there’s a financial need that comes up, I’ll go take some work or do an odd job, for cash to fulfill that need,” he explained.

As of Page Six’s reporting, the actor and his family currently reside in a campervan with a water well and a generator.

He is reportedly plotting to go totally off-the-grid and build his family a house with its own hydro-electrical dam and plumbing and electrical systems.

As for the girls, Hall and his wife, Jill — whom he married in 2017 — homeschool their girls and intend to “strongly discourage them” from attending a mostly “nonsense” formal school or going to college when they become of age.

In addition to his immediate family, Hall’s younger brother, Gemini Barnett, their mother, Twila, and his stepfather, Mark, have also made the move to Arkansas and recently bought plots of land.

Elsewhere in his interview, Hall revealed that ultimately decided to leave the entertainment industry behind in 2020 after he was arrested for allegedly huffing air duster cans.

He claimed he was taken into Weatherford police custody in Texas for misdemeanor possession. But, he didn’t face any charges for the incident.

Hall told the outlet in his Wednesday interview that he had been sober for 15 years prior to the arrest.

While he “loved making movies,” the public arrest became his wakeup call that helped him to see he didn’t want to live a life of “manipulation, of other people, in how I speak to them, in the stuff that I make or produce… including myself, as an addict.”

“I didn’t want to go work some job that was basically meaningless, making widgets to entertain people or distract people,” Hall continued.

Hall rose to stardom as Alfalfa in the 1994 film “The Little Rascals,” which was directed by Steven Spielberg. He also starred alongside Lindsay Lohan and Brenda Song in Disney’s 2002 film, “Get A Clue.”

He later went on to earn a Children’s Emmy nominations for “A Tale Dark and Grimm” and co-wrote the movie “This Is the Year,” which was executive produced by Selena Gomez.
