Observers roast Kash Patel’s ‘moonwalking’ Fox News interview after latest ICE killing

Political analysts and observers roasted FBI Director Kash Patel on Monday night after he gave an interview to Fox News’ Sean Hannity about the situation in Minneapolis after President Donald Trump’simmigration agents killed an American citizen over the weekend.

Patel joined Hannity to discuss his agency’s response to the situation in Minneapolis, where immigration agents killed ICU nurse Alex Pretti on Saturday during a protest. Eyewitnesses say Pretti intervened after an officer shoved a woman to the ground. Pretti was sprayed with a chemical substance and taken to the ground by a swarm of officers and subdued. While on the ground, officers discovered Pretti was carrying a handgun and disarmed him. Even so, they still fired 10 shots at Pretti, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the interview with Hannity, Patel claimed the Trump administration is not “going after” people to infringe on their freedom of speech, right to protest, or the right to bear arms. Observers noted those claims seemed to contradict statements Patel made about Pretti earlier in the day, when he argued that Pretti had no right to carry a loaded gun to a protest.

Observers shared their reactions to Patel’s interview on social media.

“Alex Pretti did none of this and you murdered him anyway so…bulls—,” sports journalist Ian Hest posted on X.

“Kash moonwalking on his assault on the 2nd amendment as he still blatantly lies about Alex ‘inciting violence,’” The Tennessee Holler posted on X. “The conservative backlash to their comments about Pretti carrying a gun legally clearly breaking through.”

“LMAO bro changed his tune real quick,” political commentator account Wu Tang is for the Children posted on X.
