As part of a discussion about the House of Representatives’ vote on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files on Tuesday, Donald Trump was warned things will take a turn for the worse — and Democrats and the press are not his biggest problem going forward.
Discussing the upcoming vote on MS NOW’s ”Morning Joe,” co-host Joe Scarborough made fun of Republican lawmakers who have been calling the notorious files part of a “hoax” before, and are now saying they will vote to make them public.
After asking GOP lawmakers whether it was worth it, Scarborough said, “I will say Donald Trump’s biggest problem here is not the New York Times editorial page. It’s not MSNBC Primetime, it’s not [Democratic Rep] Ro Khanna or {Democratic Senator] Adam Schiff. It’s the MAGA base. It’s Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, it’s Steve Bannon, it’s Rep. Thomas Massie.”
He added, ‘It’s other leaders of the MAGA movement that have been pushing for this for years.
“And so I think that’s really where the crisis came here,” he elaborated. “Because if the attacks come from the left? Well, that’s no problem, he can brush that away. But not if it’s coming from MTG and Steve Bannon.”
