‘Queer Eye’ alum Bobby Berk has cheeky response to Karamo Brown’s cast rift

“Queer Eye” alum Bobby Berk cheekily alluded that he’s staying away from his former co-star Karamo Brown’s feud with his castmates.

“How’s everyone’s week going?!” the reality star asked his Instagram followers Wednesday, alongside a photo of himself smiling and hanging off a fence.

“Have you seen my new show ‘Junk or Jackpot?!’ on @hgtv, @hbomax and @discoveryplus?”

Several fans praised Berk for being carefree about the drama and focusing on his new endeavors, with one writing, “Just out here minding your own business with your new show, huh? 🤪.”

“Timing is impeccable 🤌🏼,” another added.

Berk starred in “Queer Eye” alongside Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski and Brown for eight seasons from 2018 to 2023.

Explaining his departure from the show, he told Vanity Fair in January 2024 that his contract had ended and he believed filming had wrapped for good.

“We thought we were done. Mentally and emotionally, I thought we all moved on. I know I did, and I started planning other things,” Berk added, explaining that Netflix later issued another round of contracts.

Berk, meanwhile, subtly responded to the recent drama involving his former castmates after Brown abruptly pulled out of an interviewout of fear he would be “bullied.”

Brown was scheduled to appear on Tuesday’s “CBS Mornings” segment alongside Van Ness, France, Porowski and Jeremiah Brent.

However, host Gayle King received a letter explaining Brown’s absence, which read, “I hope everyone remembers the main theme I have tried to teach them over the past decade.”

“Which is to focus on and to protect their mental health/peace from people or a world who seek to destroy it; which is why I can’t be there today,” the letter continued.

Additionally, Brown stated that he was “worried about being bullied.”

Porowski responded, sharing that he was “surprised” by Brown’s statement, telling King, “I will say our ‘Queer Eye’ family, we’ve been doing this for almost a decade, which is pretty wild to believe, and families are complicated.”

“And we’re definitely not excluded from that,” he continued. “I think two things can exist at the same time. And while that is definitely true, we’re also here to showcase the incredible heroes that we have and honor the legacy of this past decade of our lives.”

As for Van Ness, he explained how important it was to “meet people where they’re at” and shared his admiration for Brown.

Brown’s alleged feud with his co-stars sparked after his mom, Charmaine Brown, heard them talking badly about her son in a hot mic moment on set.

Last summer, Charmaine was allegedly on set observing production with headphones when the cast was filming Season 10 in Washington, D.C.

She allegedly heard Karamo’s co-stars talking behind his back when he walked away from them.

As of Tuesday, Karamo only follows Brent on Instagram.
