Karamo Brown pulls out of ‘Queer Eye’ cast interview last minute over fears of being ‘bullied’

Karamo Brown abruptly pulled out of an interview with his “Queer Eye” castmates in fear of being “bullied.”

The TV host was scheduled to appear alongside his co-stars — Jonathan van Ness, Tan France, Jeremiah Brent and Antoni Porowski — on “CBS Mornings” Tuesday.

However, Brown did not show up “less than an hour” before he was slated to take the stage.

Instead, co-host Gayle King read a letter that Brown wrote, explaining his shocking absence.

“I hope everyone remembers the main theme I have tried to teach them over the past decade,” King, 71, read from Brown’s assistant.

“Which is to focus on and to protect their mental health/peace from people or a world who seek to destroy it; which is why I can’t be there today.”

The award-winning journalist added that she received a statement from Brown’s assistant that claimed the reality star is “worried about being bullied.”

“… focus on and to protect their mental health/peace from people or a world who seek to destroy it; which is why I can’t be there today,” she read.

“Surprised is a fair understatement,” Porowski, 41, told King. “I will say our ‘Queer Eye’ family, we’ve been doing this for almost a decade, which is pretty wild to believe, and families are complicated. And we’re definitely not excluded from that.”

The “Antoni in the Kitchen” author added: “But I think two things can exist at the same time. And while that is definitely true, we’re also here to showcase the incredible heroes that we have and honor the legacy of this past decade of our lives.”

Van Ness, 38, expressed admiration for Brown.

“I would say one thing that I’ve been so honored to learn about Karamo in that time is that we have to meet people we’re they’re at,” the hairstylist shared.

Porowski said he was “surprised” Brown didn’t show up.

“He has taught people to center what they need. And I’m actually really proud of him. Center what you need, do the things that you need to do to take care of you. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel like that sometimes,” van Ness added.

“It’s really beautiful. We do need to center what’s best for us sometimes. And I take my hat off to him for doing that today.”

Page Six has reached out to Brown and his castmates for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Last week, several eagle-eyed fans noticed that Brown, 45, had unfollowed three of his “Queer Eye” co-stars, France, Porowski and van Ness, ahead of their Season 10 premiere.

The netizens discussed whether a feud could be brewing between the reality stars.

“It’s likely that Karamo blocked JVN, Tan and Antoni. There’s no trace of them at all in his IG. Unfollowing doesn’t erase old comments and likes but blocking does. Karamo’s IG has been scrubbed of all traces of the three,” one person claimed.

“they also aren’t doing any joint press to promote the new season (so far) which is soooo different from previous years when they did tons of interviews to really sell people on the dynamic being real. this time it’s giving ‘we wish this was over’ energy,” another added.

“Sounds messssssy,” said a third fan.

In 2023, “Queer Eye” star Bobby Berk announced he was leaving the Netflix series after six years amid drama he faced with France.

Berk, 44, was replaced by 41-year-old interior designer Brent.
