An ICE agent in the Twin Cities slammed an agitator following his car and honking for impeding feds’ reported operation to nab a child sex offender.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer behind the wheel of a pick-up truck rolled up alongside a reporter who was observing the altercation from their parked car in St. Paul, Minnesota on Sunday, according to a video shared on X.
“We’re here to arrest a child sex offender. And you guys are out here honking,” the masked agent said.
“We’re not honking, we’re press,” the journalist recording the video responded.
The officer paused as he leaned out the window a little further and jabbed a finger towards the vehicle further down the street.
“That vehicle right there is honking and impeding on investigations while we’re trying to arrest a child sex offender,” he reiterated.
“That’s who you guys are protecting. Insane,” he added before shaking his head in disappointment and driving off.
A video taken by the same reporter moments before showed the agent talking with a woman sitting in a parked car while she grilled him about the validity of warrants executed by ICE agents.
“It’s insane. It’s insane,” he could be heard telling the woman.
The exact details of their conversation or how long the woman was allegedly impeding the agents’ operation is unclear.
The Post reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for more information.
The heated exchange comes as protests have spawned along every edge of the Twin Cities since activist Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent on Jan. 7.
The federal government accused Good, a mom of three, of trying to “weaponize” her vehicle against officer Jonathan Ross and claimed she mowed him down, while critics argued Ross used fatal force seemingly as his first resort.
At one rowdy protest last week, rabble-rousers spray-painted “hang Kristi Noem,” “f–k ICE” and “only good agent is a dead one” on the side of a beat-up car. The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information that could lead to an arrest in the vandalism.
