Conservative influencer robbed of pricey camera, dragged by alleged robber’s car in Minneapolis confrontation: video

A Minneapolis protester allegedly stole a pricey camera from conservative provocateur Nick Sortor — who chased down the suspected thief and was dragged by her car as it swerved onto the sidewalk, according to shocking video.

In a post shared on X, Sortor said the woman was part of a group that followed him and his crew around the Twin City all day — until one of them boldly snatched his camera out of his hand while he was driving down the street.

“What did she just do?” one of his companions asked as Sortor’s car came to an abrupt stop.

“She f–king…” Sortor started to say before he lunged out of his car and started chasing the suspect, who he later accused of stealing his $1,000 camera.

The two appear to get into a tussle in the street that’s largely obscured by Sortor’s car, according to the clip posted to X.

By the time the person filming follows after Sortor, the suspect is driving off — with the right-wing influencer hot on her trail as he clings to the driver’s side door handle.

In his post, Sortor claimed his “hand got trapped in their door handle” and he was “dragged down the street.”

The erratic driver swerved onto the icy sidewalk to make a quick escape, with Sortor being pulled along. He quickly starts to lose his footing as he slides alongside the moving car, according to the footage.

“Just tell her to give him the camera back!” Sortor’s cameraman said as they chased after him.

The video abruptly cuts back to Sortor, no longer being dragged by the car as he storms down the sidewalk. It’s unclear how, or when, he got his hand loose.

“They just stole my camera,” he panted as an agitator started to cuss him out on the sidewalk.

“This is what you wanted, right?” the agitator snapped. “Listen here, motherf–ker, you better get the f–k outta here right now!”

A group of roughly eight other community members circled around Sortor and his crew as they demanded they leave.

“Nobody stepped in. Nobody stepped in,” Sortor seethed.

As more people ordered their crew to leave, Sortor’s cameraman asserted they’re “allowed to be here” because “it’s the United States of America.”

Sortor claimed the group that was following his car was a “group of Somali thugs” and called on DHS to “raid this place.”

The FBI Rapid Response reposted Sortor’s X post with the caption “We’re on it.”

Sortor is no stranger to clashes with protesters. In late September and early October, he followed different anti-ICE demonstrations in Portland, Oregon.

He was arrested at one such protest outside an ICE building in Portland on Oct. 2, but was never charged.

Sortor claimed during an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that Portland police were “ordered” to target far-right influencers like himself. He announced that he planned to sue the city for $10 million, though it’s unclear if he ever filed the lawsuit.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office had determined Portland cops “had probable cause” to arrest Sortor and two others following “a small but chaotic scene involving Mr. Sortor and a group of demonstrators.”

However, the office decided not to charge the conservative after reviewing reports and videos because it didn’t “believe the crime of Disorderly Conduct can be proven against Mr. Sortor beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Sortor later retreated to New Orleans to follow other protests cropping up as ICE agents swarmed the Louisiana city.

Most recently, he’s been chasing protests in Minneapolis. In early January, he dropped by the embattled Hilton hotel that was refusing to host ICE or DHS personnel and was back following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent and the subsequent protests her death spurred.
