A Republican lawmaker broke ranks ahead of the weekend to oppose a former Rose Bowl tight end that Donald Trump chose to represent the nation abroad despite him being embroiled in a masculine toilet scandal at the time.
There was substantial pushback when Trump named his new NATO ambassador to be Matthew Whitaker, who served as acting attorney general during Trump’s first administration and, as multiple reports show, was subjected to intense media scrutiny for pedaling toilets purportedly designed to keep large penises from touching human waste, as a “MASCULINE TOILET.”
U.S. Ambassador to NATO Whitaker said Thursday, “Greenland is strategically located, critical to U.S. national security and the security of our NATO Allies.”
“The Arctic region is vital to deterring our adversaries and to monitoring the evolving threat picture,” he added.
But one Republican congressman wasn’t going to stand by silently.
Rep. Don Bacon, a prominent Republican who at one time issued a grim warning about Trump’s legacy, chimed in, “Stop the absolutely idiotic BS.”
“Greenland and Denmark are our Allies,” Bacon added. “The damage you are creating will extend beyond President Trump’s term.”
