Jennifer Aniston’s personal trainer reveals the actress’ secrets to staying in shape at 56

Jennifer Aniston’s personal trainer Dani Coleman reveals the actress’ secret to her famously fit shape is her commitment to fitting in a workout regardless of her schedule.

“No matter how much time or where Jen’s schedule takes her, she always values moving her body,” Coleman told the Daily Mail on Thursday.

“She understands that doing something each day, even if it’s small, is better than nothing, which is why she loves [fitness method] Pvolve because we have workouts of all lengths and formats.”

Coleman, the founder and VP of training at Pvolve, added that she and the 56-year-old star — who the trainer affectionately called a “super woman”— make sure to do “full body” workouts when they manage to fit in a session.

“Jen and I train utilizing our Signature formats: Strength & Sculpt, Sculpt & Burn, and Progressive Weight Training,” said the fitness enthusiast.

“We do full-body workouts and love to frequent our p.band, p.3 trainer, p.ball, and gliders, and we mix in heavy dumbbells with a focus on building lean muscle mass. Our sessions are filled with hard work, a good playlist, and a few intermissions to play with the pups!” Coleman continued, referencing Aniston’s dogs Clyde and Lord Chesterfield.

Coleman added that the “Morning Show” star “loves a challenging workout.”

It’s no secret Aniston is a big fan of Pvolve’s low-impact functional workout system. The “Friends” star has maintained a partnership with the program since 2023.

In January 2025, the actress dished on her personal “80/20” approach to health and fitness in an interview with Allure.

“You’ve got to live your life. No restrictions — except hard drugs,” she told the outlet. “It’s the 80/20 approach,” she told the outlet.

“Eighty percent healthy living and then 20 percent is: Go have a martini, go have your pizza and burgers and stay up late with your friends,” she continued. “There’s a balance.”

At the time, she revealed she tries to hit the gym at least four times a week “at minimum.”

“If I’m working, sadly, sometimes I can only get in two or three, but as long as I get it in, that’s all that matters,” she shared.

“Strength training is the most important thing for women in their 50s. If you lose muscle, your bones get brittle — osteoporosis. We fall down, we break a hip and that’s a wrap.”
