Travis Kelce’s end game is still unclear.
The Kansas City Chiefs star continued to play coy on where he stands with his retirement decision on Wednesday’s “New Heights” podcast.
When the athlete told Jason Kelce he is “officially jobless” and the show is his “only job,” his brother and co-host asked whether this meant the tight end had formally “announced [he] stopped playing.”

Travis, 36, cryptically replied, “This is the only job that employs me right now.”
He went on to reflect on his team’s “tough season,” saying, “[It] ended even worse because my guy 15, [quarterback Patrick Mahomes], went down.
“We finished the season with a lot of starters kind of banged up. … It’s a tough way to go out, especially with the amount of success and the standard that you hold yourself and the team to.”
“You try and look back on it right away and learn from it and even figure out where it all went wrong and how you could’ve been better on certain situations,” Travis continued. “It’s just a s–tty feeling. … It’s an embarrassing feeling, but you keep it moving.”

As for his offseason plans, the “Catching Kelce” alum will “be around some friends and family” as opposed to “figuring out how to win playoff games.”
He will “put [his] feet up” and be “a human” — and “figure out what [he’s] going to do next in terms of [his] future in football.”
The three-time Super Bowl winner noted, “I talked to a few people in the facility already having exit meetings. They know where I stand, at least right now. There is a lot of love for the game still there. I don’t think I’ll ever lose that.
“It’s a tough thing to navigate. If my body can heal up and rest up and I feel confident I can give it another 18, 20, 21-week run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat. I think right now it’s finding that answer and seeing how the body feels after this game when it all settles down.”

Travis admitted it’s “a rough thing to navigate,” ultimately saying, “If my body can heal up and rest up and I can feel confident I can go out there and give it another run, I would do it in a heartbeat.”
He is “finding that answer and see[ing] how [his] body feels.”
The NFL star’s 13th season ended on Sunday when the Chiefs lost to the Las Vegas Raiders.

After the game, Travis told reporters he needed to “take some time” to decide on his future.
Page Six reported in March 2025 that Travis’ fiancée, Taylor Swift, influenced his decision not to hang up his cleats after losing the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles last year.
We heard the singer, 36, “wanted him to go out on a high note.”

While Swift was not present at Travis’ final game of the season, she cheered on her partner at this year’s last Arrowhead Stadium home game on Christmas Day.
The couple have been together since the summer of 2023.
Travis popped the question in August, and the pair are set to tie the knot in Rhode Island in June.
