Eric McCormack’s ex scores ‘Will & Grace’ money, $10K a month in spousal support in divorce settlement

Eric McCormack legally must pay his ex-wife, Janet Holden, a “non-modifiable” $10,000 a month in spousal support, for nearly a decade.

A judge signed off on the exes’ divorce settlement on Monday. According to court docs obtained by People, McCormack won’t be able to challenge his payment of $10,000 per month to his ex until 2035, when he can seek modification.

McCormack and Holden also agreed to equally split the actor’s earnings for any projects he did while they were married — Aug. 3, 1997 to their date of separation, Feb. 12, 2024 — which includes income from his iconic sitcom, “Will & Grace.”

When it comes to their property, Holden is keeping a home in Los Angeles, two condos, and the right to exclusively use their home in Vancouver for five years unless she decides to buy out the actor’s share or sell it.

McCormack, 62, is keeping their beach house.

As for their son Finnigan, 23, they agreed to split his expenses as well as the costs of establishing a trust for him, People reported.

According to the docs, McCormack makes an average of $92,000 a month, while Holden makes an average of $23,000 monthly.

The pair met on the set of the TV series “Lonesome Dove” in 1994 when she was the assistant director and he played Francis Clay Mosby. They went public with their relationship in 1995, then tied the knot two years later.

Holden filed for divorce in November 2023 after 26 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Still, McCormack continued to wear his wedding ring after their split.

The two also looked cozy together at an Oscars party in March 2024.

McCormack put his arm around her while posing for photos at the Elton John AIDS Foundation event, and they were also spotted holding hands inside the event.

Despite the affectionate outing, they went through with their divorce, settling it out of court in November 2025.
