‘What the hell?’ Observers aghast after Stephen Miller’s ‘bellicose’ interview on CNN

Political analysts and observers were left aghast after one of President Donald Trump’s top advisors had a “bellicose” interview on CNN.

Stephen Miller, White House deputy chief of staff for policy, discussed the administration’s recent actions to arrest Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and other foreign policy aims on CNN’s “The Lead” with Jake Tapper on Monday. During the interview, Miller said the U.S. would continue its pursuit of occupying Greenland, a sovereign territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. He also would not rule out sending troops to other countries in South and Central America.

Miller’s comments generated significant debate online.

“This is truly an astounding interview by @jaketapper,” Nadev Pollak, a lecturer on the Middle East at Reichman University, posted on X. “It seems two things are becoming more probable:1. The U.S. will make some move on Greenland, which will be a historical mistake. 2. This will fracture NATO and US-EU relations. I wonder also how the EU will react to such an aggressive move while the US is becoming its number one energy supply (LNG).”

“What the hell is wrong with these people?” author Joel J. Miller posted on X.

“We could have a conversation with Greenland and the Danes and build a military base on Greenland,” Rohan Patel, a former Obama advisor, posted on X. “We have military bases all over the globe in *partnership* with our allies. Bellicose rhetoric from Trump and his sycophants makes enemies and weakens our national security.”

“Stephen Miller is a lousy excuse for a human being and absolutely wrong here to be threatening an ally with clearly zero understanding of the history between Greenland, Denmark, and the US,” constitutional conservative Camille MacKenzie posted on X.
