Bristol Palin is planning to try something new to treat her ongoing facial paralysis and says it’s “not looking great” in 2026. “This eye,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories Saturday, indicating the side of her face suffering the condition. “I will eventually get Botox in it.” “It just gets so small when I smile, or when I’m expressive at all,” she lamented.

The clip was taken from a Dec. 9 “Ask Me Anything” segment, in which a fan asked Palin, 35, whether there were any “updates” or “progress” on her condition.
Palin removed sunglasses to show her face, noting, “If anyone’s wondering, today’s day 323 of my face being paralyzed … not looking great.”
“Could be worse, could be better. At least I’ve got cute sunglasses,” she concluded.

Per the National Institute of Health, Botox is an effective treatment for various forms of facial palsy.
The daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin first shared diagnosis with the neurological condition back in January 2025 and said it was “brought on by stress.”
“I woke up nine days ago with a little weird sensation in my face,” the “Teen Mom OG” alum said via Instagram Stories at the time. “My mouth was pulling this way, and it just felt a little off.”
“Within a couple of hours, the entire left side of my face was numb and just paralyzed,” she continued. “I couldn’t really blink my eye, definitely had no movement on the side of my face. So crazy.”

She explained, “They think it’s just a case of Bell’s palsy maybe brought on by stress or lack of sleep… I think it was brought on by stress.”
She was initially prescribed steroids for the condition, which she reported made “such an improvement from what [she] was looking like” initially and which allowed her to “get some of the sensation back.”
Palin — who has been transparent about getting multiple cosmetic procedures — has beensharing her facial paralysis journey ever since, and has said that she’s able to look at the condition from a more positive lens, sharing that she will never again “pick [her]self apart” over her appearance.
“[When I feel insecure], I am gonna remember this and just be so thankful for a normal functioning face because this has been wild,” she said.
