A man was shot by D.C. police and critically wounded Friday night in the Foxhall/Reservoir Road area west of Georgetown in Northwest Washington, authorities said.
The man was taken to a hospital from the 4400 block of Reservoir Road NW after what police described as an officer-involved shooting.
No officers were injured, police said. Fire and rescue personnel went to the scene about 7:20 p.m., the fire department said.
