She’s not holding it against him.
Page Six can confirm that Britney Spears tried to convince Sean Preston to spend the holidays with her and his brother, Jayden, in California.
However, a source told Us Weekly on Tuesday that the 20-year-old “chose not to” because he “wasn’t ready to meet her halfway,” which left the Princess of Pop feeling “really hurt.”

Spears’ eldest child, instead, spent the holidays in Louisiana with grandma Lynne Spears, aunt Jamie Lynn Spears and more loved ones.
The “Toxic” crooner, 44, subsequently roasted her estranged family in a sarcastic Instagram post, writing, “Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can’t fix.”
Sean Preston reportedly thought a Louisiana Christmas “would be a nice way to spend” his day because he “feels really comfortable with his grandmother and his cousins and family” there.

As for his brother, the 19-year-old had an “amazing” and “beautiful” Christmas with his mom in Los Angeles on Thursday.
“They laughed a lot and bonded more than they have in a while,” the outlet alleged. “It deepened their connection.”
The duo reportedly ate a “really delicious glazed ham … watched movies, played and listened to music” and visited with “a few good family friends.”

Britney’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
While both of her children publicly distanced themselves from her in 2022, Jayden reconciled with the singer last year.
He has been featured multiple times on Britney’s Instagram in recent months.

The Grammy winner plans to “get together more often” with both of her boys next year, Us Weekly claimed on Tuesday.
The “Crossroads” star would like to “eventually take family vacations together and just do normal family activities like going shopping and going out to eat.”
The source noted that “things have gotten a lot easier in their relationship since the boys turned 18,” since it’s “now up to her and the boys on how their relationship develops.”
While Sean Preston allegedly still experiences “hard times” feeling “isolated” around his mom, the pair are reportedly both “very committed” to “work through” their issues.

Britney welcomed her sons while married to ex-husband Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007.
While promoting his bombshell “You Thought You Knew” memoir last month, Federline said Sean Preston and Jayden are “trying to find a way to mend a bond” with their mother.
“They absolutely love their mom, right?” he said in the November “Talk Shop Live” interview. “I mean, they always, always have, always will. It’s instilled in them.”
