Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple have a rosy next chapter in store.
It just may take a minute before the couple’s journey lands them at the altar.
“I had two sons that got married. One got married last summer. One’s getting married this summer. I’m getting my kids married and then I’ll worry about myself,” Vassos, 62, exclusively told The Post at iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball 2025. “I don’t want to take the focus off them.”

Viewers who watched the ABC star and insurance executive’s love story unfold on the first season of the “Golden Bachelorette” in 2024, may also get a glimpse at their wedding day.
“I would be open to a TV wedding,” Vassos revealed. “Not because I’m dying to have a TV wedding but I feel like everybody who is invested in our journey and watching our love grow and watching all of this happen — it would be mean to leave everybody at the step and not invite them in.”
The Maryland native was previously married for 32 years until her husband John died in 2021. The two are parents to Nicholas, Erica, Allison, and Luke.

Chapple, 62, was married for 12 years and shares kids Taylor and Tyler with his ex-wife, Heather.
The families have become the perfect blended pack.
“They are so good,” the “Golden Bachelorette” star gushed. “Chock has two kids who are in their twenties and I have kids in their twenties and thirties. The girls have bonded over dirty martinis and the boys over nice watches. The kids are great and Chock and I are good.”

Now, the group is continuing their adventures in the Big Apple.
“We are about to go to New York for an entire month and kind of enjoy Christmas, which is my favorite time in New York,” Vassos shared. “Finally, we have a big chunk of time together and the kids are going to join us.”
“I’ve seen so much of it,” she continued about New York City during the holidays. “I’ve seen the Christmas tree and we love going to Bryant Park. We are going to try and immerse ourselves in the New York experience.”

Vassos and Chapple’s itinerary includes bagels in the morning, walks in the park and ice-skating.
If all goes well, the reality star could see herself and her fiancé giving NYC their final rose.
“It’s the place we’d want to have our third home,” Vassos elaborated. “He’s still in Kansas. I’m still in Maryland. I will always have a home in Maryland. I’m not positive if he will always have a home in Kansas but we have a ronde vu place.”
Which is outside the pair’s normal turf.

“It’s kind of good not to have it in either one of your hometowns,” mused Vassos. “When you’re with each other you’re kind of entertaining each other. He doesn’t have friends in Maryland and I don’t have friends in Kansas. So when we’re in New York we just get to be a couple.”
The mom of four will head back home for Christmas, where a longstanding tradition with loved ones awaits.
“Chock is a new addition,” Vassos detailed. “So, my family, since my kids were little, now I have grandkids, we love putting everyone in the car in their pajamas with hot chocolate. Mine has Baileys in it, and we go see everybody’s lights. It just puts you in the mood on Christmas Eve!”
