Armed cops swoop on men heading to Bondi Beach over fears they planned ‘violent act’ days after terrorist attack

Heavily armed Australian police swooped on a group of men heading to Bondi Beach on Thursday after intelligence suggested they could be planning a “violent act” days after 15 people were slaughtered at a Hanukkah event there.

The suspects were nabbed in two cars with out-of-state license plates in Sydney’s south-west just days after two ISIS terrorists shot up the famed beach.

Chaotic footage captured SWAT teams searching and cuffing five bloodied men after authorities rammed their vehicle in the broad-daylight sting.

A weapon may have been uncovered from the car, sources told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Police also swooped on a second car several streets away and cuffed two men.

Investigators haven’t indicated what the men were allegedly planning — but said they don’t believe there’s any connection between them and the Bondi shooting massacre.

“Tactical Operations police responded to information received that a violent act was possibly being planned,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“Police subsequently intercepted two cars as part of the investigation.”

“At this point in time, police have not identified any connection to the current police investigation of the Bondi terror attack,” police added.

The two terrorists, Sajid Akram, 50, and his 24-year-old son, Naveed Akram, targeted scores of Jews celebrating Hanukkah in the Sunday bloodshed.

Naveed Akram, who was also shot but survived, was charged on Wednesday with 59 offenses, including 15 charges of murder, after waking from a coma in a Sydney hospital.
