Some D.C.-area school systems have announced delayed starts for Monday as frigid temperatures raised concerns of slick surfaces in some areas.
After snow fell early Sunday, the Capital Weather Gang predicts temperatures will dip into the teens overnight and wind chills could approach zero in some spots. That could cause refreezing and patchy ice.
School officials say they consider multiple factors, including road conditions and the forecast, when deciding whether to delay or cancel classes.

- Anne Arundel County Public Schools: Two-hour delay

- Montgomery County Public Schools: Two-hour delay; child care programs may operate on schedule & families encouraged to contact childcare provider
- Prince George’s County Public Schools: Two-hour delay; emergency personnel to report on time
- Spotsylvania County Public Schools: Two-hour delay; 12-month and essential employees to report on time
