DoorDash driver caught spraying substance on food bizarrely claims she was aiming at spider

She’s spinning a web of confusion.

A DoorDash worker who was caught on a doorbell cam spraying a mystery substance on a delivery order bizarrely claimed she was only aiming at a spider.

Kourtney Stevenson is seen on the Dec. 7 footage delivering Arby’s to the doorstep of an Indiana home, taking a confirmation picture — then calmly spraying an aerosol substance onto the bag.

But the blue-haired Kentucky native said she was trying to scare away a spider when she was tracked down by cops, according to Fox News.

Mandy and Mark Cardin had complained that after they ate the food, they vomited and suffered from a burning sensation in their throats and mouths, according to cops.

She told detectives she had been staying with her father in Indiana, and took the job at DoorDash during her visit, according to Fox News.

“I noticed my wife had started eating, and she started choking and gasping,” Mark Cardin told WFIE Media. “After she had a couple bites of her food, she actually threw up.

He tried to reach out to Stevenson on the DoorDash app, but found she had already blocked him. After watching the doorbell footage, Cardin didn’t recognize the worker and posted photos to Facebook.

After identifying her, authorities in Indiana charged the driver with two counts of battery resulting in moderate injury and two counts of consumer package tampering. Stevenson was arrested in Kentucky and will be extradited to Indiana.

Meanwhile, the Cardins are wondering if they’ll ever order delivery again.

“We assume it’s pepper spray. That’s more than likely what it is, but now, in this day and age, it could’ve been anything. It could’ve been rat poison. It could’ve been fentanyl. I mean, my wife could’ve been dead,” Cardin told WFIE.
