“Little Rascals” star Brandon “Bug” Hall defiantly doubled down over starting a GoFundMe for financial help ahead of welcoming his sixth child.
Hall, 41, has been responding to critics on X, including one user who urged him to “get a real job”and to stop getting his wife pregnant if he can’t afford it.
The former child star bluntly responded, “I’m going to keep impregnating my wife
.”
When another critic told him to “move to a small town and put your skills to work and get a job like everyone else,” he commented back, “Nah. I’m busy building a farm and feeding my family and community
.”

Hall also clarified the notion that he didn’t work, thanking a a supporter who noted that the former actor was trying to be “as self sustaining as possible as he works to build a house.”
The X user wrote, “I just don’t think it’s a 9-5 career—but various jobs with a set goal in mind.”
“That’s right. This was a rougher year too,” he replied. “I mostly worked full time, while also working to prepare our new home site.”
Hall launched a GoFundMe fundraiser last Thursday, sharing that he “really need[ed] some help” less than a month before his wife, Jill Marie DeGroff, is set to give birth, and as the family moved to rural Arkansas.
“It’s now six years since I self-cancelled, and I have avoided doing one of these in all that time,” he wrote in the description. “I always said this was my choice, and so I didn’t want to offload the glorious burden of it unless there was no other choice. Well here we are.”

He shared a picture of him with his wife and their five children. His wife and four young daughters all wore the same green long-sleeved dress.
“I’ve fallen a little behind on the few bills we have (phone, propane for the camper, and an unexpected electric hookup service fee),” he wrote about his situation.
While his goal was $2,000, he’s since raised over $23,000.
Hall is best known for playing Alfalfa Switzer in 1994’s “Little Rascals.” In January, he told the Daily Mail that he had taken a “vow of poverty”and was living off-the-grid as “a radical Catholic extremist”.

He said that he had given up the money he made as a child star, donating it to charity, along with many of his belongings.
“My goal is to maintain a life as free of any need for an income as possible,” he said.
But Hall has had several run-ins with the lawsince leaving Hollywood in 2020 to live off the grid in poverty. In June 2020, he was arrested in Texas that for allegedly huffing air duster cans.
In April, he was arrested in Ohio and charged with failure to appear for a court date from December 2024. Hall was previously given a traffic citation on Oct. 29, 2024, for not having liability insurance.
