Ex-Trump insider returns with ‘firsthand’ Stephen Miller warning: ‘Most dangerous’

Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former senior adviser in President Donald Trump’s first White House, is warning that Stephen Miller’s promotion to chief of staff is one of the most alarming turns of Trump’s presidency.

“The departure of Susie Wiles and the elevation of Stephen Miller to White House Chief of Staff represent, in my judgment, one of the most concerning developments of the Trump presidency,” Manigault Newman wrote in an “official statement” posted to X on Friday.

She had high praise for Wiles, who worked with her on Trump’s 2016 campaign.

“She is a brilliant strategist, a disciplined leader, and an extraordinary human being,” Manigault Newman wrote. “She represented a much-needed voice of reason and sound judgment in the West Wing.”

Miller got no such praise.

“By stark contrast, Stephen Miller is among the most dangerous political figures I have encountered in more than 30 years in American politics,” she wrote. “I worked directly with him during President Trump’s first administration. My concerns are not speculation. They are rooted in firsthand experience.”

“I fear his unchecked influence could lead to catastrophic decisions, undermine democratic institutions, and escalate international conflicts with devastating global consequences,” she continued.

“Blind loyalty is not leadership. Extremism is not patriotism,” she added. “And placing unchecked power in the hands of dangerous ideologues is not governance. It is a threat to our democracy and our national security.”

She said her warning wasn’t about party.

“This is not about Republicans or Democrats,” she wrote. “I worked with Susie Wiles. I worked with Stephen Miller. I know the difference between the two, and that is precisely why I am sounding the alarm.”

Manigault Newman, who first became famous on Trump’s “The Apprentice,” served as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison. She was fired in December 2017 and later published “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.” She also released secretly recorded conversations from her time in the administration, including her firing in the Situation Room.

Wiles left the White House on Friday after Republicans’ historic midterm losses. Miller takes over as chief of staff.
