A New York State Police sergeant is accused of hoarding a trove of child pornography and filming two young girls undressing, editing the vile footage into even sicker content, according to federal prosecutors.
Sgt. Steven Calderon, 43, was first arrested last Monday for allegedly attacking a woman inside Orange County home, and he was charged with assault.
Police investigating the case then made a disturbing discovery while searching his residence: a stash of a least 2,000 images and videos of child porn, prosecutors said.

Around 30 electronic and recording devices were seized and police also found a cellphone on a stand in the bathroom with its camera facing the shower, the complaint says.
The twisted footage included at least four different children in Calderon’s bathroom, according to court documents.
On July 25, he sick, mustached sergeant allegedly secretely filmed a 10-year-old girl undressing in his bathroom and then edited the footage so it appeared she was engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Another video alegedly taken by Calderon on Feb. 3, 2023, shows a 9-year-old girl taking off her clothes inside his bathroom.
The creepy cop also used that recording to create a sexually explicit screenshot, prosecutors said.
Calderon, of Crawford, has been State Police sergeant since 2022 and previously worked as a trooper.
“Steven Calderon’s alleged crimes are all the more disturbing knowing he committed these alleged acts while serving as a law enforcement officer — a position entrusted with protecting the public including its most vulnerable members,” US Attorney Jamie McDonald said in a statement.

“The defendant’s alleged acts are a profound betrayal of the public trust and the oath he swore to uphold.”
New York State Police Superintendent Steven G. James called the allegations against Calderon “deeply disturbing” which “stand in direct opposition to the oath every member of the New York State Police takes to protect and serve.”
“Our responsibility to protect children and investigate allegations of abuse does not change when the accused wears our uniform,” James said. “The public deserves accountability, regardless of rank or position.”

Calderon was slapped with two counts of sexual exploitation — with each charge carrying a maximum of 30 years.
The creep was also charged with one count of possessing child pornography.
Authorities believe Calderon may have other victims.
