Suki Waterhouse appeared to spill on her “disaster” relationship with Bradley Cooper for the first time in years.
The model, who did not name the actor while chatting with the Sunday Times over the weekend, said she is “surprised” at how “happy” she is with now-partner, Robert Pattison, because she has “only ever gone out with someone for two years” before him.
“If it was two years, it would have been a disaster at the end,” the 34-year-old said.
Waterhouse, who dated Cooper between 2013 and 2015, reflected on past romances from her “younger” years.
“When you’re younger you go into everything so blindly and you don’t think of consequences, including maybe of relationships,” she recalled. “You don’t really have any concept of any repercussions of being in things that are public that might be hard to [navigate].”
Waterhouse and the Golden Globe nominee, notably, had a headline-making 17-year age gap that sparked chatter as she was 21 and he was 38.
She recalled isolating herself at home after a past heartbreak — seemingly her and Cooper’s split— and deciding it was time to quit her “stifling” modeling career.
“I started feeling like, ‘I have to find a way out of here or I’m going to drown,’” the “Daisy Jones & the Six” alum recalled of that time, noting that she felt “quite depressed” but “channeled that” into her songwriting.
As for what she has learned from her exes, Waterhouse said, “You can have a private life and a public life at the same time. I know that now.”
Cooper’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Waterhouse last commented on her “disorienting” split from Cooper in a 2024 British Vogue interview, saying, “When something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you’re actually not doing well, and you can’t explain yourself to the world, that’s very isolating.”
She has been in a relationship with Pattinson, 40, since 2018, with the duo sparking engagement rumors in late 2023.
The couple shares a 2-year-old daughter, whose name they have yet to share.
Waterhouse gushed about her and Pattinson’s “beautiful” bond on Sunday, pointing out, “It’s quite hard to make something work where you’re both doing these kinds of jobs where you don’t live in one place and you’re traveling a lot.”
She divulged that their wedding plans are on hold for the year, dispelling secret marriage rumors and clarifying they will go “all or nothing” with their future nuptials.
“If we were going to go for it, we’d have a massive party, blow it out,” she said.
Waterhouse’s previous romances, in addition to Cooper, include musician Miles Kane from 2011 to 2013 and actor Diego Luna from 2015 to 2017.
Cooper, for his part, has been dating Gigi Hadid since 2023 after a four-year relationship with Irina Shayk that resulted in now-9-year-old daughter Lea De Seine.
