What we know about the creepy photo Jeffrey Epstein had of a lounging woman on his desk

WASHINGTON — A haunting photo of a lounging woman that Jeffrey Epstein kept on his home office desk is among several mysterious artifacts belonging to the convicted sex offender that can be seen in new photos published Friday by members of a US House committee.

The snapshot, in which the woman is seen lying in an awkward position on what appears to be a couch, is visible in a photo of Epstein and former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon at the notorious pedophile’s Upper East Side residence.

The photo is undated, but previously released records indicate that Bannon spent several hours interviewing Epstein in 2019 for a never-released documentary.

Page Six also reported in August 2018 on at least one meeting between Bannon and Epstein at the East 71st Street townhouse.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released just 19 photos of more than 95,000 received from Epstein’s estate — which show the financier’s most famous and influential former associates like President Trump, former President Bill Clinton, movie director Woody Allen, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

A handful of images of Trump depict him with women whose faces are blacked out to suggest they were victims of Epstein and his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, though it’s unclear whether that was actually the case.

In the unsettling photo on Epstein’s desk, the woman’s face is also covered by a small black square to prevent recognition.

Some social media users have speculated that the picture was intended as a display of the “leverage” he had over the dozens of young women he trafficked.

The unidentified woman appears “passed out” and appeared to be roughly the age as some of his other victims, netizens suggested.

“What a sicko,” one X user posted. “What appears to be an incapacitated young girl passed out on a couch. You have to be pretty confident you won’t be arrested to have such a deplorable picture on your desk.”

Reps for Democrats and Republicans on the Oversight Committee did not respond to requests for comment about the unnerving image.

Reps for Epstein’s estate also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The photo is one of three on the desk that show unidentified figures, either with Epstein or depicted alone. One shows a figure resting their head on Epstein’s shoulder.

Other pictures featured gross sex shop paraphernalia such as restraints, a so-called “Jawbreaker Gag” and a device called a “P—- Pump.”

“These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the Oversight panel, said in a statement.

“We will not rest until the American people get the truth. The Department of Justice must release all the files, NOW.”

“Once again, Ranking Member Robert Garcia and Oversight Committee Democrats are cherry-picking photos and making targeted redactions to create a false narrative about President Trump,” a spokeswoman for the GOP majority on the panel said in a statement. “We received over 95,000 photos and Democrats released just a handful.”

“Democrats’ hoax against President Trump has been completely debunked,” the rep added. “Nothing in the documents we’ve received shows any wrongdoing. It is shameful Rep. Garcia and Democrats continue to put politics above justice for the survivors.”

The DOJ is expected to release all federal investigative materials on its more than decade-long probe of Epstein by Dec. 19 after Congress passed a resolution compelling the disclosures.

Several of the images have been public for years, and there’s no indication that the individuals depicted had any awareness of Epstein’s sickening crimes.

Epstein, 66, was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019, while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking children as young as 14 years old.
