Jelly Roll could ‘feel himself dying’ before incredible 200-pound weight loss

Jelly Roll decided to embark on his inspiring 200-pound weight loss journeyafter feeling like he wasn’t going to make it much longer.

“I could feel myself dying,” Jelly shared during an emotional interview on Wednesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

The “Bloodline” artist, 41, said that he decided that it was time to make a lifestyle change right around his 39th birthday.

“I thought about it around my birthday ’cause I knew my next [birthday] was 40, and I was like … I don’t think I’ve ever met a 500-pound 40-year-old,” he said.

Jelly Roll said he felt like he had “already cheated the game” after surviving “multiple heart issues.”

“I was like, man, I should really start trying to figure this out,” he said.

The singer wanted to discuss his struggles with obesity to inspire other people who are “big.”

“I want to help people, dude. I never thought I’d lose this weight,” he said, adding that he feels “really, really good” today.

Jelly Roll said that he has had to buy all new clothes and even changed his Oura ring size five times during his two-year body transformation.

The rapper became emotional while recalling the first day he decided to start walking 10,000 steps a day.

He said that his wife Bunnie XO and daughtertold him that he didn’t have to go outside on a walk because it was “pissing rain” that morning.

“But in my mind, I was like, ‘No. I’m going outside,’” he recalled. “I’m done lying to y’all and I’m done lying to me. I told y’all I’m gonna do this walk and I’m gonna do this walk.”

Jelly Roll started tearing up when he remembered his family cheering for him when he returned from that first walk.

“I’d done nothing but lie to them for years about this weight,” he said. “I had never proved to them that I was going to change or that I’d be a man of my word in any regard.

“They had every reason not to go out there and cheer me on, and that was like, a big moment.”

The “Wild Ones” singer said that it was then that he realized how much his food addiction was hurting his loved ones. He even discussed how being overweight caused him to have a “horrible” sex life with his “big-tittied, blond, beautiful” wife.

He eventually sought help from a therapist and got to the bottom of the reason behind his overeating.

“Now I’m just feeding myself for what I need. Like I actually have a healthy relationship with food,” he shared.

This year, Jelly Roll has been spotted looking much leaner and even showed off his slimmed-down facelast month.
