Call me a nerd, but I get the most excited about deals on products that I actually need. As a girl that’s on her phone almost all the time, that includes portable chargers. I’ve tested dozens, and the broader WIRED Reviews has tested hundreds. Which is why it’s exciting that many of our top picks are on sale right now.
Maybe you want to be prepared in case of emergencies. A power bank is great for that. Maybe you want to grind League of Legends: Wild Rift on your phone while you’re traveling for the holidays. A power bank is great for that, too. Kids have a dead iPad? Unexpected late night out? Power banks to the rescue!
Best Power Bank Deals Right Now
It’s the best-looking power bank for obvious reasons. Who doesn’t like translucent tech? But this portable battery also has a large 24,000-mAh capacity, a smart display, and support for Power Delivery so you can fast-charge not only your phone but also your laptop. It can top off up to three devices at once.
For a truly portable option, this Anker power bank is hard to beat. It charges your phone wirelessly with a Qi2 plus MagSafe design, though you can also use it in wired mode with the included USB-C cable. It even has a little kickstand you can use to prop your phone. It’ll fall short of two full charges for most smartphones, but it’s handy in a pinch and small enough that you can keep it in your bag without any fuss.
This dedicated charger can replenish your Apple Watch. I especially like having these around for when I’m camping or traveling because I don’t need to pack a separate Apple Watch cable to worry about, nor do I need to bring my usual 3-in-1 travel charger. It has enough juice to charge your watch eight or nine times, but you can also use it to top off your phone with the attached USB-C cable.
This Qi2 wireless portable charger has one big benefit: A built-in USB-C cable. That means you won’t have to hunt down a short cable to use if you want to switch from the wireless 25 watt charging to wired 45 watt charging. The back is slightly rounded so it feels natural in your hand, and there’s support for charging up to three devices at once.
Our favorite laptop power bank is a beast. It can deliver up to 300 watts, meaning it’s capable of charging far more than just your phone. And it can deliver a powerful charge to up to three devices at a time. There’s a retractable built-in cable, a smart display, and a chunky 27,650-mAh capacity. The best part is that the power bank itself can be recharged quickly—in an hour via USB-C, or from dead to 80 percent in 20 minutes if you use the charging dock. Both the docking version (Rapid Pro X) and the non-docking version (Rapid Pro) are on sale right now.
