Hidden safe, bones found buried at Philly house of horrors tied to 7 missing women: report

A hidden safe and bones were discovered buried under floorboards and in the backyard of a Philadelphia house of horrors tied to seven missing women as investigators continue to search the property, according to a report.

Philadelphia police and the FBI unearthed the disturbing pieces of evidence while searching the Olney property of vile pornographer Raymond “R.C.” Horsch and his son, Eugene, which detectives have since connected to seven missing or unidentified women, NBC10 reported.

Investigators found a hidden safe while removing walls and floors inside the home, though it is unclear what was found inside, law enforcement sources told the outlet.

Teams also recovered bones from the backyard on Thursday, prompting the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office to be called in, the sources said.

Officials are still working to determine whether the bones belong to a human or an animal, the local station reported.

Crews have also been collecting soil samples and are expected to begin examining the front of the Chew Avenue property.

“Right now, it looks like soil samples. We saw them going in and taking some samples. And what they’ll do is, they’ll do it in different places, and they’ll do it at different depths to see if there’s any chemicals in there,” Joseph Giacalone, a retired NYPD sergeant who is not involved in the case, told the outlet.

Eugene Horsch is being held on firearms charges as authorities continue to probe what could have happened to the missing and unidentified women.

Following his arrest in June, investigators made multiple other disturbing discoveries at the home — including alleged snuff movies featuring R.C. and several missing women, vats of mysterious chemicals, and writings referencing serial killers.

One alleged “snuff movie” showed a woman being strangled by R.C., an erotic photographer and convicted meth producer believed to have lured vulnerable female drug addicts to his home.

They are also trawling through more than one million images from the home.

Cops revealed they found images and video of two women — Maribel Frieses, who was last seen in 2018, and Gabrielle Amarando, last seen in 2012 — that appeared to show them deceased.

Blair Tonzelli, who vanished in 2023, and Amy McHale, Horsch’s ex-wife who was last seen in 2016, have also been named by the authorities.

McHale’s family said her last known location was the home where Horsch and his son lived.

R.C. died last year and is believed to be one of five urns investigators pulled from the dilapidated brick home.
