Six Flags’ ‘Goliath’ coaster rider who fell to his death had beaten cancer, survived a car fire a month ago: sister

The Six Flags parkgoer who died after falling off a rollercoaster in Georgia was a cancer survivor who escaped a wild car fire about a month ago, his sister told The Post on Tuesday.

Hassan Kariem, who died after plunging from the 200-foot-tall Goliath rollercoaster at the Six Flags Over Georgia on Monday, was remembered by his sister Andrea Clark, 35, as “my hero.”

“He’s an amazing person,” Clark said through tears of her brother, a 42-year-old teacher from the Atlanta area. “The coolest part about me was him,” she said.

The grief-stricken sister called her brother’s death “unfair,” revealing he bravely battled cancer that went into remission in 2015.

“He had other issues, but he’s healthy, he was able-bodied. I don’t understand it,” she said.

Clark also revealed that her brother had survived a “crazy” car fire a month before the amusement park tragedy.

“He could do it all,” his sister said as she wept.

Kariem “worked hard and took care of his family,” his sister said, adding that her brother didn’t have a son, but took care of his fiancée’s daughter, whose life he’s been in since she was three.

His sister also sent a message to those who’ve shared grim photos of her brother’s last moments as he’s seen falling from the ride, asking them to “stop doing that.”

“That’s just evil,” she said. “It’s tragic and I feel like we’ve gone too far as a society.”

Kariem tragically slipped out of his lap restraint during a ride on the hypercoaster Goliath, according to witnesses.

Six Flags, the biggest amusement park company in America, said it has shut down several other similar roller coasters across the US “out of an abundance of caution.”
