President Donald Trump on Tuesday reposted a video of a man being attacked by a tiger on his social media account, amplifying graphic footage of a person’s final moments at a British wildlife park.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the president posted the footage on his Truth Social account, which more typically features his own commentary, footage of his public appearances and reposted quotes from other people praising him.
“Don’t ever mess with nature! President DJT,” the president wrote alongside the video of the man. The footage was from a fatal attack Saturday at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. British media accounts said the man climbed into the enclosure of Altai, a 420-pound Siberian tiger, posing for a photo with the animal before it started attacking him.
Trump reposted a 41-second clip that had no audio. In it, the tiger appears to be biting the back of the man’s neck and pinning him down as he struggles, then pawing at his legs. The clip doesn’t appear to include the man’s death.
A minute after the president posted the British video, he posted a 24-second video compilation of lion attacks on people, this one accompanied by jaunty music. It wasn’t immediately clear whether all of the attacks were authentic or if some of them had been generated by AI. The president didn’t write anything alongside the second video.
