As millennials and other young workers navigated a turbulent job market, they routinely heard career advice warning them against “job hopping” and the much-dreaded “résumé gap.”
But today, job hopping is much more normalized in the workplace. There’s less expectation on the part of companies or their employees that they are forever committed to each other. And in many sectors, hiring managers understand that moving from firm to firm is often a financial decision as well as a career choice.
