Welcome to Late Night Roundup, a rundown of the previous night’s highlights that lets you sleep — and lets us get paid to watch comedy. Here are the 50 best movies on Netflix right now.
Retreat! Retreat!
President Trump has another new project in mind, telling reporters on Wednesday that he’d like to convert part of his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., into a Camp David-style retreat for official use by foreign leaders and future presidents.
“At least he’s open to the idea that there will be future presidents, I guess,” Jimmy Kimmel said.
“According to the plans, ‘future presidents would also be offered comped membership to the Trump club.’ Wow, what a treat. Just what a Gavin Newsom would want — a luxurious spot to unwind and relax with the MyPillow man and the guy who played Beastmaster and Vanilla Ice.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“And don’t worry about the cost — a lawyer for the president promised that Trump will pay for the construction himself. So, really, the one thing we know for sure is that Trump will not pay for the construction himself.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“What is with all these projects? Not one of them is finished. The East Wing’s still a hole in the ground, the reflecting pool is empty, the Kennedy Center closed. The arch is like a rectangle with construction tape around it. How about you finish one of the other stupid projects nobody needed first?” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“This country — we are $41 trillion in debt. We don’t need a presidential retreat modeled after Camp David. We already have one of those, it’s called Camp David.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
The Punchiest Punchlines (30 Years of Fox News Edition)
“Fox News turned 30 years old today. And what do you get for the network that ruined everything?” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“Fox News launched on Oct. 7, 1996 as a sort of a B.E.T. for angry white grandpas.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“Three decades ago, a visionary named Rupert Murdoch asked a simple question. He asked: ‘What if the news was whatever I want it to be?’ And with nothing more than millions of dollars and a complete disregard for the America in which he wasn’t born, he turned that idea into what has become the number one reason you can’t talk to your dad anymore.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“Fun fact: since Fox came into being, the unemployment rate for attractive blondes has dropped to zero.” — GREG GUTFELD
