Nancy Mace claims police reports of her profanity-laced ‘spectacle’ at SC airport were ‘falsified’

Rep. Nancy Mace claimed that authorities “falsified” a police report detailing her profanity-laced “spectacle” at cops for being late in escorting her through a South Carolina airport.

Mace (R-SC), 47, burst into a tirade when a supervisor who misidentified her car delayed the congresswoman’s meetup with Charleston Airport Police, who were supposed to walk her to her gate on Oct. 30, according to the 10-page report by Charleston Airport Police Chief James A. Woods.

“Well, part of the report was actually falsified,” Mace told Kaitlan Collins on CNN’s “The Source” Tuesday night, calling it a “political hit job.”

The South Carolina gubernatorial hopeful contended that the video released by authorities did not actually show her berating anyone, but rather featured her asking a security agent for help.

“Conveniently, there is no audio that goes with it. And the last time that I checked, asking for help isn’t against the law, nor is being frustrated,” she fumed.

The lawmaker maintained that she was frustrated by her airline experience, but insisted that most of the quotes in the report — including where she called police “f–king idiots” and “f–king incompetent” — were not true.

“So you’re saying that police officers are lying?” Collins asked Mace at one point.

“No, I am saying that is, in part, false, and that is a falsified document,” Mace added.

“There are things in there … most of what’s quoted is not true,” she said, adding that she requested police to release audio and bodycam footage of the incident and was informed that they do not exist.

“I am absolutely saying that that report was falsified, 100 percent fictitious, falsified,” Mace said. “In no way, shape or form did I call any of them idiots … I have never called someone an idiot.”

But according to the police report, when airport officers arrived to escort Mace, she turned her rage on them.

“I’m sick of your s–t, I’m tired of having to wait. I should not have to wait. You guys are always [f–king] late, this is [f–king] ridiculous,” she fumed, the police report said.

That officer also described Mace’s tone as “very nasty [and] very rude,” while the report described other cops and security personnel as appearing “visibly upset” and feeling “downtrodden.”

She elaborated on such threats to Collins, stating that since the shooting of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, she has received “numerous death threats.”

“We saw in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk, numerous death threats just exponentially multiply. I have multiple people sitting in jail right now behind bars without bond because of the death threats that I receive on a daily basis,” she contended.

“It was effective; it was a very effective political hit job. But that’s all that it was,” Mace later said of the police report.
