Three masked thugs jumped a shopper outside a trendy West Hollywood boutique in broad daylight, beating him to the ground before one of them allegedly opened fire in a brazen robbery caught on camera.
The three men, dressed in black hoodies and masks, leaped out of a silver car and swarmed the man in red pants outside Fugazi, a clothing and shoe store in the 8700 block of Holloway Drive near Hancock Avenue, around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The terrifying attack unfolded in seconds, with surveillance footage showing the suspects surrounding the victim and appearing to wrestle him toward the ground.
One of the men then appeared to fire at the shopper before the trio scrambled back into their getaway car and sped off.
Deputies arriving at the scene found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a hospital, though his condition was not immediately known, KTLA reported.
A nearby witness told the outlet they heard around five or six gunshots during the violent encounter.
The aftermath was just as chaotic, with footage showing a bullet hole in a storefront window and shell casings scattered across the area where the robbery allegedly took place.
The suspects also smashed into a black Ferrari parked nearby as they fled, authorities said.
Two people inside the luxury sports car were innocent bystanders caught in the chaos. Neither was injured in the collision, according to authorities.
The masked suspects were last seen heading east on Holloway Drive in the silver vehicle, triggering a manhunt.
Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting or identified the suspects.
