Self-identified Donald Trump voters in his home state of Florida had little good to say about the president when speaking with MS NOW correspondent Alex Tabet.
In a clip shared by “Money Power Politics” host Stephanie Ruhle, the best review Trump received from one of his MAGA fans was, “I hope it all works out. I hope he does what he wants to do, because what he said he wanted to do is what I voted for.”
“He promised no new foreign wars. He promised to lower prices,” Tabet prompted one unidentified man before asking, “How do you feel about the things he promised to you in 2024?”
After a long pause, the man replied, “There’s been a lot of changes I wasn’t expecting.”
A third man lamented, “I feel like there were a lot of empty promises and I’m a little disappointed.”
“Should have voted different,” another stated before chuckling and adding, “I feel hoodwinked — been hoodwinked.”
A visibly frustrated woman who voted for the president complained, “I would call him a bald-faced liar. That’s all I can say nicely.”
Those complaints follow a report from Politico that the GOP’s “firewall” in Florida is crumbling, with one GOP county chair admitting, “I don’t think we are dead yet. We are not on life support. But we are hemorrhaging. The question is: Do we stop the bleeding now, or wait until we reach critical conditions?”
