Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their kids have been doing a slew of “British things” since their move to the United Kingdom.
When asked what topped the list at the WellChild Awards on Monday, the Duke of Sussex told Hello! magazine, “Gone for a walk. Lots of walks. Isn’t that the most British thing?”
The former military pilot, 42, also said Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have been enjoying Marmite on crumpets.
He dubbed the yeast paste on bread a “big moment” as the little ones “used to diss [him] for having Marmite in the house” when they lived in Montecito, California.
“Now [that] we are in the UK, that is kind of water under the bridge,” Harry quipped, noting his children “do, very much, like it.”
As for beans on toast, the royal joked that the combo “didn’t go down very well at all” when he introduced it to his family “years ago.”
Harry did not elaborate further in the interview on his recent relocation to his homeland.
Monday’s outing marked the third of Harry’s official events since his move across the pond in August, preceded by the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards and the launch of the INSPIRE education program.
He, notably, stepped out solo each time.
While Markle, 45, was not present, she has been spotted out and about in the Cotswolds, the posh neighborhood where Page Six heard she and Harry were house hunting.
The actress first made headlines for grabbing coffee at Soho Farmhouse, a members-only retreat, on Sept. 4.
On Monday, she was seen bonding with fellow A-list expat Ellen DeGeneres at the Three Horseshoes near Burford, Oxfordshire, in photos obtained by Page Six.
The “Suits” alum and her husband, who fled England after quitting their royal roles in 2020, have had a tumultuous few weeks since touching back down in the country last month.
Not only was Markle’s personal cell number leaked in a school WhatsApp group, but Archie and Lilibet were pulled out of their prep school over security concerns.
Harry issued a brief update on the situation Thursday, confirming to Hello! that the “kids are in school.”
He referenced this in Monday’s interview with the outlet by mentioning his son and daughter had “the Monday blues,” which he used to get on Sundays before heading to boarding school.
Calling their mood that morning a “tricky” one, Harry said he pumped them up with stories about the WellChild Awards, which left Archie and Lilibet “genuinely fascinated and interested with all sorts of questions.”
While Harry has not divulged the reason behind his relocation, Page Six reported he wanted to be closer to dad King Charles III.
Additionally, Harry shared with fellow Brit Joss Stone last year that he spoke to her about “how wonderful the schools are [in the UK] and how important community is for children.”
